England national soccer team manager Gareth Southgate announced the final 26-man roster for the 2024 European

Football Championship (Euro 2024), which opens in Germany on the 15th (Korean time).

Defender Harry Maguire (Manchester United), who was considered a key resource for the England national team,

unfortunately dropped out due to a calf injury, and '100 million pound transfer fee men' Jack Grealish (Manchester City)

and James Maddison (Tottenham) gave up their places to 'young blood'.

Manager Southgate announced the final 26-man Euro 2024 roster on the 7th, saying, "There have been many changes

compared to the roster that participated in the 2022 Qatar World Cup." He added, "There are still some players who have

not experienced the big stage, but I am not worried because they have good skills."

Among the players who were left out of the 33-man training list, the most notable are Maguire and Grillish. In addition,

playmaker Maddison, who showed good chemistry with Son Heung-min at Tottenham, was also left out.

Maguire's elimination was due to a calf injury rather than skill.

Manager Southgate explained, "The injury has improved slightly, but it is a complicated situation," and "Even if we pick

Maguire, he is not in a position to be used in the group stage. We had no choice but to pick a player whose physical

condition is 토토 certain."

On the other hand, Grealish and Maddison were virtually inferior in skill level.

Grealish made headlines when he joined Manchester City in 2021 for a record transfer fee of '100 million pounds' in the

English Premier League (EPL), and although he has been active on the national team, he had to give up the 'Three Lions

mark' as he was pushed out as Manchester City's backup resource for the 2023-2024 season.

Madison also returned in January after being injured in November of last year, but was unable to regain her form and was

eventually eliminated.

With Maddison out, there are no Tottenham players left on the national team roster.

Manager Southgate said, "Maddison and Grealish are two players with many attacking options, so it was difficult to make a

decision. I am sad to tell you the news of our elimination."

Meanwhile, 20-year-old central midfielder Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace), who made his A-match debut in the friendly

match against Bosnia-Herzegovina on the 3rd, and striker Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace), who has three A-match

experience, were confidently named in the 26-man roster.

In addition, the front line is lined with a number of strong goal scorers, including veteran Harry Kane (Munich), Jude

Bellingham (Real Madrid), Phil Foden (Manchester City), and Bukayo Saka (Arsenal).
